August 17th couldn't come any more quickly. I'm ready to leave everything here behind and live in a country for 10 months to which I do not know the language to. Today was one of the crappiest days in a long time, but I'm coping with it better than I have in the past. It's amazing to think about how much different I will be a year from now (right around when I'll be getting home from Japan). It's almost more intriging to think of everyone else here, and how much different they will be. I am determined to come back a changed man, and be faster on drums then cory and josh times two on crack. I'll be able to really learn more about myself by being seperated from everything here and taken out of my enviorment. Being forced to go cold-turkey for year sure is going to hurt me either. Although I've already made my peace with drugs, that year will be a helpful reenforcement. Earlier today I was sad that I lost certain people, but now I'm more determined then ever to get them back, and confident that this long absence is more benificial than I ever thought it would be. I'm ready to prove to people that I am not the person I was. I'm ready to prove to everyone that I am not what they think I am. Ian Sherwood, to most, is a drug-crazed kid who takes advantage of girls and is just a man-whore. Man-whore: Maybe freshman year. Drug-crazed kid: So far, pretty much most of my high school career. I would like people to understand that I am really a somewhat intelligent man who cares very much for other people. I am a very sensitive, caring guy who will admit to his faults. I make a lot of excuses for things, and am, in general, pretty lazy and apathetic about most situations that I come across. I neglect people, make some people feel awkward and take a lot for granted. I will, however, never be the one to give up on someone. I will always be ready to talk to you, and always be ready to help. I am actually a very honest person, exspecially about myself and how I feel. I also, contrary to what most think, have a great lack in self-confidence and am quite self-concious. When I got into high school I forced myself to be outgoing because I was always made fun of. I was always the shy kid. The stuttering, fat kid with overly red cheeks and no real athletic ability. I am half-way through high school and I have already changed so very, very much. I have had so many experiances and have learned an unfathomable amount about people and how they live.

Totally skipped French today. I had to do a movie poster in French (I did Clueless, and Allison didn't MAKE ME), and last night at like 9 I decided I wasn't going to do it. SO I DIDN"T. My mom called me in and when I was walking to the office I saw Cassie Stachnew (I don't know how to spell it, so W/E!) working there, when I stoped and told her I was going home she said Allison just was too. So I went on some bif wild chase to find her. I never did, but my Mom saw her walking out and talked to her.
Mr. Nusbaum pisses me off. He knew I was skipping out and didn't have an appointment. That bitch kid with the red hair heard me talking to my Mom in the bathroom so I bet he dropped that information with the class cause he wants points with Mr. Nusbaum. Allison and Jenn, I don't care if you like that kids style, hes a biatch.
When I went to the office they said they sent my pass to his class. I walked in there with my backpack on and my coat and he was like WTF?? But what he actually said was, "Xavier what are you doing?" I asked him if my pass was there and he said he sent it back to the office. THAT FUCKER.... so i went to the office and my mom waled in as i was walking and bit my head off. So basically the entire earth was like fuck Ian and his gettingoutofschoolness.

I know its thursday but I'm going to recap on my valentines day anyway. That morning when Allison picked me up, I gave some animal crackers, cause who doesn't like those. Then when we were getting out of the car at school I gave her a box of chocolates with a big red bow on them. Then after schoolI told her to come over and I made her some good food. I made chicken stuffed with srimp and spinach over pasta, then I had a nice sauce over that. And we had chocolate moose. She got me two badass movies, Snatch and Street Fighter, and a cute little Valentines day puppy. All in all it was really cool, and I think she was happy, which was the intention. I denfinatelty loved the stuff I got, and it made me really happy to see her smile like that. Also, I put this little note under her plate that said "iPod headphones on the way." I couldn't find them in town so I ordered her some. Allison is a wonderful girl, and I love being with her. I know its lame, but when I see her its like tunnel vision, like everything else sorta dissapears and its just her and I. Thats from the heart, yo |

Today was neat. Watched nothing of the Super Bowl and just hung out with Allison. It was loads of fun. We chilled at my place for like two seconds and watched my movie, then headed over to Dan's. It's so great being with Allison, it's something so much different to me. I have never been in a relationship like this. I just..... don't know how to describe it. I could compare to doing some weird little move with your body and you go,"Hey that feels AWESOME!" And even though you look like a complete retard you don't care cause it feels so effin' good. Best night ever?!!! Hell yes it was. I got ungrounded finally (well pretty much) and good things just happend from there. It was like one of those times where you get home, it all sinks in, and you want it to rain like hell so you can dance in it and be laughed at, which is nice. Also, I have a new found aprciation for dumpsters. They really aren't all that bad if you just give them a chance. |

So yea, if you don't know already, I almost died on friday night. I had an entire bottle of 100 proof Southern Comfort in about an hour. Not good. I don't remember anything after the first hour of the party. Dan Taylor got my out of there 10 minutes before the party got busted. After breaking a bench in half, almost getting beaten up and making a complete ass of myself, I managed to fall down the stairs and get carried to the car. In the car I passed out and no one could communicate with me. Dan then went to the mall and called a bunch of people to see what they could do with me. Karl was nice enough to let them bring me to his house. When I got there Tag, Patrick, Adam, Karl, Katie, Dan and Kaitlyn all helped me out. I anyone else was there sory if I left you out, this is just what i've been told. So they had me on my stomach and tried to keep me cool by rubbing a washcloth on my forhead. Mat Green and Andrew Nuhall actually came and made sure I was eating bread and getting the alcohol out of my system. Tag made sure I was on my stomach so I didn't choke. I was pale as fuck and could barely talk. I scared a lot of my closest friends, they thought I might die. When they thought it was getting pretty late they took me home where I was caught by my parents. My Dad, who used to own a bar and has seen pleanty of drunk people, says he has never seen someone so drunk. Thats not sometihng at all to be proud of. I woke up saturday morning and didn't remember a thing. I am so fortunate to have not lost all my stuff and to still be alive. Not only that, but I managed to leave the party beforre the cops came. I am so thankful for this and all of the loving and caring friends I had who went through a lot to make sure I was ok. I have taken a lot of them for granted, but this incident has made me realize how much I love them all. I have came so close to losing my life, almost messed up going on the exchange and almost lost a lot of friends in the process. Drugs and alcohol are stupid, and I wish I realized this a lot sooner. Please, I don't want anyone to leacture me on how stupid I am, I have heard it about 100 times snce friday, and have learned my lesson 100 times over. Hopefully people will hear about this, and maybe talk to me about it, because I think a lot of people need to realize what I have and quit some of the things they are doing. You shouldn't have to wait for something like this to happen to you to make you change, but for me it was the only way. I am sincerely sorry to anyone I hurt and extremely thankful to those who stuck with me and helped me through everything. Without those people on friday who knows where I would be. |

I got my PSP today. So far I've up loaded like 14 of my favorite songs and updated it to surf the web. I cannot believe this little thing can do so much. I only had enough money to buy one game, so I bought Luminess. Basicly its Tetris on an acid trip with techno music and dancing cowboys and ducks. The movies are so cheap AND they have a lot of Quinten Tarantino films to get for it(and hero, the most badass movie ever). Another thing that made me happy, Coheed and Cambria's music video for Blood Red Sumer came with the PSP. Anyway, Im going to go zone out and figure out what else this thing can do. By the way theres a party this Saturday, call me cell for details (335-6200). Its going t be a little bit out of down but not far. A LOT of people are coming.....its going to rule i tell ya. |

Last night I stayed out until like 4. I woke up at 4 today, then told my parents i couldn't go out to dinner because i needed to relax. Three new HOTC songs on the way. In two practices we have written three songs. Two are done and we can play through almost perfectly. I can't wait until our first show, its been a while. Speaking of shows, in october Coheed and The Blood Brothers are playing together. Never saw that one coming. Chiodos is playing the same day but i'd rather see Coheed and The Blood Brothers. Hey how close are we to slipknot???? Pretty close i'd say. Anyways we wrote a new song that I love. I was actually suprised. I didn't think I'd like it. I didn't think I would like it as much as I liked Deigo's parts. But I did. It sounds sorta like Underoath and the Bled. Really catchy. Then David wanted to write a punk song. Hate it. A lot. I really don't like punk at all. Ricky's writing it, but I still don't like it. I hope we drop it/forget about it. Im going to do my absolute best to keep fucking up the drums lol. But other than that I love the sound of everything. The vocals on the cool new song are really harmonic and much smoother than HOTC version 1.2. fucking 435 pages..... 435 pages into Harry Potter on my way home from Wisconsin and the second im back in town i find out the ending. (don't worry Jacob, its ok.... someone would have told me anyway) Well i had an awesome time in wisconsin. Adam and I played the bitch out of morrowind, star wars and halo. We tubed on the lake, played poker every night (i won just about every time), played hoopla (awesome game), tried to tell if the girls we were looking at were our age or 11, swashbuckled, sumo wrestled on a raft, bought $40 steaks, made fun of like everyone there, lost 3 baseballs and gave poker names to everyone. Poker names...... My mom- Macgee..... My Dad- Steally Dan... Adam- Slim O'Riely... Me- Trusty Britches... My cousin- Dirty Sanchez or Oboyle..... My Grandma- One eyed willy (my mom named her, swear to god)... My sister- 1000 names, Sugar-Lips, Freckles, Admiral Freckles, Admiral Ten-names, Tounge-Toad...... and a few other i can't remember. Haha we did so much stupid shit up there its ridiculous. On the bad side our boat broke, but on the good side my sister decided to have her wedding up there. I get to where an oreintal tux, and I get to stay in a castle for three days. Yeah, a castle. Hopefully by then my dad will suck it up and agree that we need a new boat. If I had my way we'd have two jet ski's.
I can't wait until school. Its just I want to be super social again and the Xbox 360 comes out in November. Oh oh oh!!!! Resident Evil 5 was just announced for the 360. freaking awesome. new zelda comes out too..... can't wait |

Just got back from work. Hopefully we are going to play D&D tonight. Frank nor Patrick can make it so it will just be Adam, Dan, Jacob and I. I asked my dad the other day if Adam can come to Wisconsin with us. It's ok with him but 1. There is no room in our car so Adam would have to ride up with my sister 2. Adam's parents would need to be convinced that he can go out of state for like, 4 or 5 days 3. Adam suddenly needs to come up with money 4. My sister has to find out if she can even get time off work to come...... If all that comes together I will probably ride with Adam in my sisters car and not come upf or the full week. Fingers crossed bog time on that. If he can't go I might not go to Wisconsin because my brother is not going and Meg is not going and possibly even Ali would not be going. It would be my parents, my aunt, my grandmother, my other aunt, my little cousin and my neice. My cool cousin isn't even going probably. And the boat is jacked up in addition to all that. The guy winterized it wrong and so now the engine is fucked up and we have to pay four grand to replace it. I said we should just buy two jets skis but no one listens to me. Maybe I can convince my old man to rent a jet ski up there. That would be pretty kick ass. Jet skis are the coolest. I jsut remembered David has some of my cd's, I need to call that slut. |

I did nothing today. Absolutley NOTHING.... Unless you call playing a computer game while having someone watch you an accomplishment. Oh dear, I want my xbox to work sooooooo bad. hrmph...... Oh I did listen to The Chemical Brothers new album all the way through, which was freaking awesome..... Today I went to Subway before work and I was walking in the parking lot I was so positive that I saw Blair's moms car that I was scared to go in. (shes crazy) I went in and............false alarm, but im still going to be more cautious from now on. The other day she said she never wanted to talk to me ever again, which is fine since i've been avoiding her for a while now TEE HEE! So running into her now would be awkward, considering I would probably have to order my sandwich in front of her. My Subway sandwich is very special to me. It is a sacred exchange of words between the sandwich artist and I, the sandwich-e. So no way am I letting her in on my most precious of secrets. I got my cooler back but still no cd's nor tent. I honestly don't care about the tent. Im not the one that will freak out if anytihng happens to it, my dad will. Im pretty sure that on the 4th after the fireworks I made eye contact with Ricky as he drove by my house. I wish he would have stopped so could have talked to him, then take out a .450 kazool and shoot his knee caps off. I would have finished of with a Ted Nuggent style crossbow and then continued going medieval on him. My new goal is to find a lot of Mariachi music. Today I watched El Mariachi and Desperato for like the 20th time and realized I was a closet mariachi lover. Lately I haven't been listeing to hardcore or metal that much. I've started to listen to a lot of techno (i.e. The Chemical Brothers), folk music (Kingston Trio), Dashboard Confessional (actually its an orchestra doing a tribute to Dashboard) and starting earlier today mariachi music. But I also realized the new Darkest Hour sucked, the new Motion City Soundtrack wasn't as good as the last and Bleeding Through is was better than I thought they were 2 weeks ago. So I guess I kinda have kept up on my metal..... hmm. Well after writing this I've decided today went purty good. Tomorrow Im either hanging out with Koreena or chillin with Nate dogg and mr. polay. People who I told to call me (you know who you are)......call....... |

Who else cried when the Star Wars theme came on in sync with the fireworks? Huh? Admit it!!!! That had to have been the most badass thing that Galesburg has ever done. Ok I didn't cry but almost. Tonight I had the best home cooked meal in a long, long time, listened to a lot of Duran Duran and Twista (odd mix), hung out with Adam, Nate, Amanda Gillen, Charlie Jo and Koreena and felt weird for doing it. I felt weird because Koreena is Adam's ex and her and Adam are still unhappy with each other. Adam said it didn't matter and that he was glad that we like each other. I believe him but I don't want it to ever cause problems. Tomorrow Im going to go see War of the Worlds with Koreena and on Wednesday I'm getting my ears peirced. I can't wait. |

I just got back from cornerstone yesterday. It was soooooooo much fun. I got to see so many cool bands. I knew a lot of them and I got to see even more that I had never heard who turned out to be really good. I did get mad at people a lot though. The first night we were there, Ricky freaked out cause he couldn't find his keys. He walked over to the table that all the food was on and started throwing the bags around a screwing everything up. I was pissed because David and other people took time organizing all of it. I told Ricky to chill out and that we would all help him find his keys. He looked right at me and threw a jug of water really hard on the ground. I just told him he was an ass and need to calm down and that if was going to act like that he could get of my tent and sleep in his car. He told me all this crap how it wasn't my campsite. I knew it wasn't but some of the food he was throwing around was mine and it was my tent he was sleeping in. After that I went into my tent and he came in and got in my face screaming at me. I just told him to chill out and turned my back on him. Later on he kept on calling me an asshole and stuff which was really stupid because all he was doing was carrying on the argument. I even apologized to him later and he just said well there is going to be pleanty more of that over the next couple days. And the next day he punched me in my side and now its like blood reda and black. I've never had a bruise this bad. Next year there is no way I'l camp with him. I still had an awesome time dispite the fact the Rob was pissing of EVERYONE. He didn't do anything annoying that was creative, he was just Rob. I felt bad because Jenn didn't feel well for the first few days and Fifi had like three panic attacks. It was kinda creppy because I had never seen anyone have one. Next year I think it would be a good idea to just go in a smaller group to avoid all the drama. It didn't bother me much I didn't care as long as I got to do what I wanted to. I saw Haste the Day and As I Lay Dying with only like 10 min between the two. I crowd surfed like 3 times at haste the day. They were really good. At As I Lay Dying I got beat up a bunch haha. There was hardley any moshing so Brandon and I learned to pit dance. Its not that hard to do and its pretty fun. There was this guy we met down there named Danny who looked JUST like Deigo except he was white. He and I went back to back in the pit and lifted each other up and kick our feet out. It was so much fun. I met so many cool people down there and know I just can't wait for next year. I think Im going to buy my tickets for next year next week. |

Man I really need to stop saying that. The last like two weeks all I've talked about is wanting a girlfriend. Like a long-term relationship. ahh w/e my xbox is broken so obviously there is no god at this point. I might as well go like, jog or something. And jogging sucks cause you not walking but your not quite running. Its like a being a confused young boy all over again. Except not cause your...... jogging. Today is probably the most important day of my life. The new splinter cell comes out, yes!!!!!!! Thursday, one month anniversary biatches! Yesterday I met Amanda's parents. I was really nervous but it went pretty good. I made a strong first impression with her dad, so that makes me happy.

Amanda gave me the Killers CD for my birthday, and David and Allison gave me a stick bag. Im sort of mad that people keep coming up to me telling me things about Amanda. Its getting annoying. Everytime I feel doubtful or upset I just go to her and it all goes away. But whatever. Hopefully this weekend we are going to go to Kate's house to watch movies or to the Ring 2. Then on Saturday we have a show at Nicco's at 8:30, which should be a lot of fun. On Sunday I'm going to be studying for finals, that is the theory anyway. Not much new in my world. I just can't wait until March 28th, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory comes out. On April 4th Doom 3 comes out. So yeah I'm really excited. I'm such a video game whore. Oh and on April 14th Jade Empire comes out. I only need some more money to buy Doom 3. So expect Ian over the next couple weeks startiong on the 30th, to be vegged out in my living room. |

We had a great practice today. Although Amanda couldn't come. Ali, Johne and Ashley brought me a big cookie with frosting on it. So that was cool. My parents bought a gazebo today, its really snazy. And they got some matching furniture fot it. This is a sign of summer so i'm cheesed. We won't be able to use our pool right away because we are having it relined, and even before we do that my folks need to decide what pattern to get. I got a new cell for my birthday, and its awesome. I also recieved a Curve box set and Curve Crush. So expect me to be smelling good in the near future. |

Todays my birfday! Well tomorrow is but the celebration is tonight. We're going to Sully's and after wards I am hopefully hanging out with Amanda. Last night we went to Phantom of the Opera. It was really good. Not as good as the real opera of course, but still its definitly one of the better movies I've seen lately. I went with Amanda, Allison, Melanie, Ali, Maddie, Lindsey, Irene, Raven and Ivy.(Hope I didn't forget anyone) It was truly a great time. Amanda didn't feel quite up to going to crackpots afterwards so she headed home while I went with Allison and Mel. Well everyone (My family) just got here so im gonna go. I feel so out of place on here. Im not all poetic and smooth and what not. Everyone else writes all these really dramatic entries, and when another person reads them a single tear crawls out of their eye from the poetic value of what they just read and how emo it was. And then they read mine and they get a headache from all the misspellings and lack of emo-ness. (emoness....emo-ness?) w/e I hate it when people correct me, so just don't please. Well ,date with Amanda tomorrow. Should I be worried that Diego hangs around her a lot....... like A LOT..... and that he "had" (past tense hopefully) a crush on her. People, all sorts of people, have been telling me that they have been seeing Diego around Amanda everywhere. Im not worried about Amanda, I know no one believes me but I just know for a fact that she does not like Diego. I don't want to explain, I just know. So, assuming I know she doesn't like him should I be worried that my best friend who is "hot" has a crush on my girlfriend. I already brought it up to Dee and he got a little mad, and I understand that I feel like an asshole for basically asking if he was trying to steal my g/f. He had every right in the world to be mad, but what guy wouldn't be a little nervous about the situation. I think that I did right in bringing it up, he would have done the same had it been vice-versa, me being the hot one. I seriously don't mind them hanging out, I just needed to make sure Diego's intentions were good at heart. Well, thats the news for today. Other than that, the only thing I have to report is im totally head over heels (I don't wear heels, but its an expression deal with it) for Amanda. And my birfday is sunday woot. Hopefully getting cell phone for me and money so I can buy splinter cell and doom 3 HELL YEAH!!!!!!! Man I love video games too much. Peace out. Ahhh I can't spell. |

I went over to Kate Allison's house last night to watch the Notebook with her, Amanda and Alanna. It was great. Amanda and I cuddled throughout the whole night. Its was very romantic towards the end of the movie, when they died I held her hand and we were both crying. She laid her head on my chest and I put my arm around her while we watched the end. Once again, very romantic. Shes going shopping in the cities today, and tomorrow we can't do anything cause we are both busy. But this coming weekend we will hopefuly be able to do something. |

I'm halfway positive that writing a song 2 days before a show, though badass, isn't the best idea in the world. But we did anyways. GHS is being lame and said we need to change all our songs. So we took out one, put in one we just wrote that is intrumental, and i do not know what we are doing about the other ones. Im still pretty bummed about Anna. Its been a while since a girl liked me, and it made me feel really good to know there was someone had a crush on me. But w/e, I can't sit around and bitch about it all day. Im going to just skip all the emoness and just move on. But yeah, Josh Mo-fuckin Dickson was at our practice yesterday. I wasn't nervous at all, Im pretty sure i impressed him so its all good. I've been getting way better on drums. My fills are getting smoother, Im getting faster on both hands, my double bass is coming along and my toms have never sounded better. I can't wait (rapid subject change) until my birthday. March 13th. Im probably getting this killer camera phone.*Fingers crossed* I hope anywys. My parents are going to add me to their family plan, $10 a month. WOOT! I will have 500 min at my disposal so yeah, Im siked. Well my sis if making some smores so peace out. |

I'm talking to Anna right now and Im so happy. I had a great day. In the morning Anna and I walked around and talked. Then after school we hung out in the library, that ruled. I can't wait until the weekend. Her and I get to hang out, yay. We kinda get to hang out in civics. Even though she sit across the room from me, I have the perfect view of her beautiful face. "Ian goes emotional? Oh my gosh!," exclaimed the readers. Yeah, there is definitly something special about Anna. Shes the only girl that "puts me on my toes", as I put it. And thats in a good way. When im around her my only worry is disappointing her. I know I sound like an obsesed psycho but Im going crazy for Anna right now. |

OMG..... I've been talking to Anna tonight for a while. I never felt so awesome. I told how much I liked her and that hope her and I can have something special. I know, I know. Ian goes emotional. I felt like Rico Sauve talking to her tonight. Not to brag, but I was smooth haha. It was so cool, SHE CALLED ME A GENTLEMEN!!! I know that dosn't sound like much to you, but to me it made my day. One of the things I strive for is to be thought of as a gentleman. And she told me she liked me a lot, after I tolf her the same. Oh my god, I could not be in a better mood. I can't wait until civics tomorrow, even though she sits across the room from me I have the perfect view of her beautiful face. Wow, I sound pretty gay but I don't care. This night is going to be slow, I get to hang out with her in the morning tomorrow, then during civics then after school for a bit. And then thursday we are going to Mcdonalds, I don;t care what she says im paying lol. Then on friday we might go to crackpots. But she had pep band at 6 so we don't know. All I know is I get to be with her, and that makes me happy. |

Today was great. No gehetto people messed with me, I slept in math, Health was um.... Healthy?.... Then civics was awesome as usual. Anna and I walked around together in the morning, which was lovely. Haha, I said lovely. Then after school we hung out in the library for a while. All in all today rocked. I got three valentines too, I felt special. Anyway, I can't WAIT TIL THIS WEEKEND!!!! Even though its not going to be that long, at least Anna and I will be able to hang out outside of school. Ahhh.... I sound like a schoolgirl haha. |

This weekend was, above average, you might say. Friday was really fun. We practiced for about four hours then a lot of people showed up out my house. Here are the names *inhale*: Devlan, Patrick, Lydia, Maddie, Ricky, Me, Deigo, Alanna, Theresa(Alanna's sis), wow um....... Allison, Jen, Brandon, jezz....... um there were more let me think..... Ali, Adam Polay, Phillip..... that might be it. Then after I showered we went to crackpots. I had an intresting game of chess with Brandon, Ali and Patrick. It was all on game. In th end it took the three of them to beat me. Then we went to Rotary Park and laid on the hill, looking at the stars. After that we went to alis and hung out. That was mostly it. On friday I tried to see if Anna wanted to go out on a date but she was grounded. We are planing on one for this friday, hopefully if nothing comes up. Sorry my typing is bad im super tired. Anyways, I can't wait to hang out with Anna. I really, really like her and I hope we do get to go out this friday. I think theres something realy special about this girl. Well, I could go on and on but, I'll spare you of that. well..............bye.......bye.......bye............bye......aaaaa |
